Changelog

22 April 2020 – Protocol #2.1 Minor correction

Earlier versions of the protocol stated a wrong number in the remark concerning the down-scaling of the full size/volume protocol.
This has been corrected. No changes to actual protocol have been made.

05 April 2020 – COVID-19 Purification Protocol

A new protocol has been added to the BOMB protocol repository.

26 Sep 2019 – New BOMB- Community Plasmid Protocols Available

We have added two new protocols #5.3 and #5.4 however we managed to miss a tiny yet important detail. The protocols did not specify the magnetic beads in the list of required chemicals. This has been changed and versions V1.1 are now live.

28 May 2019 – #1 BOMB-Community Protocol Available

We are proud to present the first Magnetic Rack brought to you by a BOMB community member.

Malgorzata Cebrat has created a neat solution that allows for extractions of up to 16x 1.5ml tubes without having to remove the tubes individually for washing steps.
You will find all the necessary information on the Protocol page under “Printed Racks”.

03 Mar 2019 – Protocol #2.1 Update

We have further refined our #2.1 MNP silica coating protocol, version 1.3 is now available.
Steps 1-4 have been changed. TEOS are being added later, leading to even better results.

Have you already been a big fan of #2.1_1.2 and cant wait to test version 1.3?
Or, maybe coating you very own Beads is a bit too much DIY but you love all our other protocols?

20 Feb 2019 – Protocol #3.1 minor patch

We discovered that protocol #3.1_BOMB_MNP_coating_carboxyl_groups_V1.0 was missing SDS in the list of required chemicals. It is however correctly mentioned in the description of the procedure on the nextpage.

Version 1.1 now contains the updated list of required chemicals.
No further changes were made.

21 Jan 2019 – New Protocol & minor update of protocol #4.1

We are happy to present the latest Nucleic Acid clean-up protocol “#4.4 BOMB clean-up and nucleotide removal using silica beads”. As always, you can find it on the protocols page or download it directly using this link.

Furthermore a minor modification has been made to “#4.1 BOMB clean-up and size exclusion using silica beads”. It now includes a two sentence description of the binding buffer creation process.

12 Nov 2018 – Updated Protocols

To give you an even better experience using BOMB we have made minor changes to protocols:

#1.1, #2.1, #4.2, #4.3, #6.3, #6.4, #6.7 and #A.1.

If you are already using the slightly older versions of these protocols they are still perfectly valid.
With one exception (#4.3) changes merely concern phrasing and uniformity in the given units.
Protocol #4.3 received a bit of an overhaul and is now even more streamlined.
